There were quite a few wars amongst petrol companies in Mozambique over the best sites and positions for service stations. Often clients intending to develop a property would approach a petrol company with drawings incorporating a service station to try to obtain finance. Sometimes the company itself would build a service station for itself if it found no suitable developer. I designed an endless number of such service stations sometimes three over a weekend to show to clients on Monday morning. A few got built like the one at the Polana Hotel which was a very simple formal pavilion at the end of the guest parking.

Other quite different and small jobs were the pump islands roofs and general graphic arrangements like the one for "Garagem Uniao".
